Troubleshooting the Heated Dry Switch
The heated dry switch can be tested using an
ohmmeter, along with the wiring schematic and
selector switch chart.
1. Disconnect the electrical supply from
dishwasher.
2. Remove electrical leads from the heated dry
switch.
3. Place leads of ohmmeter across the heated
dry terminal contacts (refer to wiring diagram for
switch operation.)

Troubleshooting the Heating Element
The heating element maintains water temperature
during the wash and rinse cycles and heats the air
during the static dry cycle. (See Specifications for
heating element wattage ratings.)
To check operation, advance timer to the dry cycle,
set the selector switch for heated dry, then close
and latch the dishwasher door. Allow one or two
minutes before opening the dishwasher door and
note if heat is present.
1. Disconnect dishwasher from electrical supply.
2. Remove electrical connection from one side of
heating element and test continuity.
3. Measure the resistance of the heating element.
The resistance should be approximately 31 (±
5%) ohms.
