21. Fusing section
C. Fusing roller deformation prevention control
• To prevent the fusing roller from being deformed, the fusing roller is forcibly turned if it is
left idle for a predetermined period of time.
• Operation timing
1. If the main body remains in the standby state for more than a predetermined period
of time, the fusing motor is turned for the predetermined period of time.
2. If the main body remains in the power save mode for more than a predetermined
number of days, the temperature adjustment is started. After the temperature rises
to a predetermined value or more, the fusing motor is turned for a predetermined
period of time.
D. Media exit detection control
• The exit sensor detects the media conveyed from the fusing roller.
• The exit sensor is placed right after the fusing roller in order to detect the media jam and
prevent the media from being wound to the fusing roller.
