Quick Position
Updating the ephemeris file is helpful for quick GPS positioning when using a
navigation program. You can update the ephemeris file from the manufacturer's
server using Quick Position.
1. You need to connect to the Internet to
download the new ephemeris file. (See
section 7.1 for information on connections.)
2. Tap
Settings
, or tap the
Position
screen, to switch to the program.
3. Tap
on the message that appears.

4. Tap
Download File
5. After the new ephemeris file is downloaded,
the screen will display its expiration period.
6. If you want to create an update appointment
in Calendar, select
The appointment will be created
automatically and shown on the Today
screen.
7. If you want A701 to automatically download
the ephemeris file when the expiration date
arrives, select
