Safety Instructions
This User Guide contains important instructions for your PowerRite XT that must be followed
during installation and operation of the UPS.
Whenever the unit's On/Off switch is "On," there may be dangerous voltage present at the unit's outlets. This
is true because the unit's battery supplies power even if the unit is not plugged into the wall outlet. The unit
contains dangerous voltages.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, install the unit in a temperature-controlled and humidity-controlled indoor
area free of conductive contaminants. Do not allow liquids or other foreign objects to enter the UPS, or place
them near to it.
The power supply cord is intended to serve as the disconnect device. The socket-outlet must be near the
equipment and must be easily accessible.
All servicing of this equipment must be performed by qualified service personnel.
There are no user servicable parts within this UPS.
The installation and use of this product must comply with all national, federal, state, municipal, or
local codes that apply. For assistance, call the Invensys Service or your local Invensys office.
If the PowerRite XT has been damaged during shipment, call your vendor immediately.
If the PowerRite XT is stored, the batteries should be recharged every 6 months. If stored above 25°
Celsius, recharge the batteries more often.
