We recommend that Permobil wheelchairs are transported tied down at all times.
The Permobil can be locked in place with loading belts attached to the supplied
tie-down points on the front panel and at the side by the bumper.
If the chair has to be transported in a mini van or other vehicle it is vital that the
chair is properly secured and that the tie-down points used are well anchored.
A poorly tied down chair can cause serious injury to passengers if it
comes loose, not to mention damage to the vehicle and the wheelchair
itself.
