Important Information
As with any new operating system, new issues are discovered as more users gain
access to the product. Developers are working on these issues and provide fixes
through product updates. To ensure that you have the latest software available, make
sure that you use the update services. Additional setup information is also provided
below.
Updates
When prompted, set up your free (but important) automated software update
services:
• VAIO Update
• Windows Update
• Norton Live Update (60 day trial version)

Live Internet connection is required for update services.

Party Software install
During initial setup:
• AOL and Norton Internet Security 2007 setups may display pop-up warning
messages. Close these pop-ups to continue.
Username
During initial setup, please create a username without any spaces. This is important
when you are creating a VAIO Recovery Disc.
VAIO Recovery
If you need to use the VAIO Recovery Process:
• Inaccurate pop-up messages may appear that state 'This application was not
installed correctly ... would you like to re-install?' Close these pop-ups to continue.
The application will install correctly.
