Mark top dead center
Oil filter wrench
In the position at
which the filter
gasket first contacts
the mounting
surface.
Tighten the filter 2 turns or
to specified torque.
8. Mark the top dead center position on
the "cap type" filter wrench or on the
oil filter. Use an oil filter wrench to
tighten the filter 2 turns or to speci-
fied torque.
Oil filter tightening torque:
20 N·m (2.0 kgf-m, 14.5 lbf-ft)
9. Reinstall the drain plug and gasket.
Tighten the plug securely with a
wrench.
