HOT AIR DUCTING INSTALLATION
Different hot air ducting systems can be installed with the BIS ULTIMA :
- Gravity kit
- Forced air kit
3.5.1 Gravity Kit
Two kits are available:
1. Single hot air outlet including: (see Fig.14)
- 2 6" lengths 8" I.D.
- 1 hot air outlet kit (box, louver and frame)
- 2 adaptors
NOTE :
installed, the chimney must be offset towards the back using 2 – 30 deg. elbows back to back on
the fireplace.

The only fan that can be used with the gravity kit is the UZY5.
The gravity kit allows you to block the upper louver of the fireplace. To do so, follow the
steps below:
a) Remove the upper louver from the fireplace.
b) Install the black panel (BUCF) making sure that the insulation strip is installed inside.
c) The fireplace façade can be covered with non-combustible material (fig. 18).
WARNING: both pipes of the double hot air outlet must be installed. Any other
installation may cause fire and void warranty.
The safety rules for hot air ducting gravity kit installations are the following:

Maximum length
The height of the louver must be measured from the base of the BIS to the middle point of
the louver.

2. Double hot air outlet including: (See Fig.15)
- 2 telescopic lengths 8" I.D.
- 2 90º elbows 8" I.D.
- 2 hot air outlet kits (grill and frames)
- 2 adaptors
