Customising preferences
• iPhone (Digital AV) (default):
When an iPhone with Lightning connec-
tor will be connected, select "iPhone
(Digital AV)".
• Others:
When an iPhone with 30-pin connector,
Android device or MirrorLink device will
be connected, select "Others".

Setting the rear output

This product's rear output (rear speaker leads
output) can be used for a full-range speaker
(Full) or subwoofer (Subwoofer) connection.
If you switch the rear output setting to
"Subwoofer", you can connect a rear speaker
lead directly to a subwoofer without using an
auxiliary amp.
Initially, the product is set for a rear full-range
speaker connection (Full).
" Rear Speaker " can be set only when the

source is set to " OFF ".
1 Display the "System" screen.
Ü For details, refer to Customising the
system settings on page 48.
2 Tap [Rear Speaker].
Tapping [Rear Speaker] changes the settings
as follows:
• Full (default):
When no subwoofer is connected to the
rear output, select "Full".
• Subwoofer:
When a subwoofer is connected to the
rear output, select "Subwoofer".
p Even if you change this setting, there will
be no output unless you turn the subwoofer
output on.
Ü For details, refer to Using the subwoofer
output on page 47.
p If you change this setting, subwoofer out-
put in the audio menu will return to the fac-
tory settings.

Setting the RCA output

This product's preout (RCA rear output or sub-
woofer output) can be used for a full-range
speaker (Full) or subwoofer (Subwoofer)
connection.
Initially, the product is set for a subwoofer
connection (Subwoofer).
" Preout " can be set only when the source

is set to "OFF".

2 Tap [Preout].
Tapping [Preout] changes the settings as fol-
lows:
• Subwoofer (default):
When a subwoofer is connected to the
RCA rear output, select "Subwoofer".
• Full:
When no subwoofer is connected to the
RCA rear output, select "Full".
p Even if you change this setting, there will
be no output unless you turn the subwoofer
output on.
Ü For details, refer to Using the subwoofer
output on page 47.
p If you change this setting, subwoofer out-
put in the audio menu will return to the fac-
tory settings.

Setting the FM tuning step

Normally the FM tuning step employed by
seek tuning is 50 kHz. When "AF" (Alternative
Frequencies) or "TA" (Traffic Announcements)
is on, the tuning step automatically changes
to 100 kHz. But you can set the tuning step to
50 kHz when "AF" or "TA" is on.
Initially, this function is set to "100kHz".
p "FM Step" can be set only when the
source is set to "OFF".
