The Liteway 6 & 8 model scooters have been designed and tested for drivers up to 21 stone or 300 lbs or 136kgs. This weight should never be exceeded.

  • Page 13: Transporting Your Scooter - Dismantling

    When the tiller is folded down on the Liteway 8, the tension on the brake cables lock the front wheels. Do not pull the front chassis assembly along the ground as it will wear the tyres. This does not apply to the Liteway 6. Transporting your Scooter To transport your scooter you may need to dismantle it.

    When charging batteries NEVER connect or disconnect the charger while it is still connected to the mains.     Before charging always fit the full set of batteries. 1. Before installing the batteries, check the mains switch is off. 2. Install a full set of batteries e.g. 2 for the Liteway 6 and 3 for the Liteway 8 Charging Station.

    User Maintenance It is important for safety that you carry out the following checks before use. Visually check the machine for damage. Visually check the tyres for damage and check if they need inflating. Check the steering moves freely. Check that the tiller is firm when in use. Check the front chassis is securely attached to the rear chassis.
