Using the Player

Registering Channel

1. livOn manages the storage device or music file server
as a "Channel".
2. There are three kinds of channel as below. When
MicroSD card is detected, "SD Card" is activated.
3. PC server or NAS storage that is connected to
network(Internet) are registered as a "Remote Server"
to play music files in it.
4. Please refer to "Setup Music File Server" section in
this manual for settings of these servers.
When the server is located in local
network, it can be registered with
FTP or Samba protocol, but if it is
over the Internet, FTP is used.
In case of FTP channel, server's IP
address(or URL), logon ID and
password are needed and the port
number is generally 21, unless
assigning other number in server.
In case of Samba, the "share name"
in the server is also necessary.
Within a certain time (according to
Play List URL
number of files in server) after
channel is registered normally, the
MicroSD Card
files are listed in the channel.
Remote Server
"Folder View" or "List View" can be
selected for each channel.
When the files are not listed, please re-scan files by
Manage Channel
selecting "Media Scan" in the "Setup" menu. When the files
are still not listed after re-scanning, please check whether
the registered information of channel is valid or not.
