    If you want to use an existing fan site, complete the following checklist to determine if the site is acceptable and safe for your new Hunter fan. If you cannot check off every item, prepare a new fan site as described on this page.

    5 • Installing the Motor Housing 4-1. Place the fan housing over the motor. 4-2. Align the holes in the fan housing with the holes in the ceiling plate. Canopy Screw 4-3. Partially install each canopy screw into the holes in the fan housing and into the ceiling plate until all holes are aligned.

    Hunter fans use several styles of fan blade irons (brackets that hold the blade to the fan). 6-1. Your fan may include blade grommets. If your fan has grommets, insert them by hand into the holes on the blades. 6-2. Attach each blade to a blade iron using three blade assembly screws.

    7 • Completing Your Installation With a Bowl Light Fixture Your Hunter fan comes with an integrated light fixture assembly. WARNING: Use only the light fixture supplied with this fan model. 7-1. In compliance with Canadian Federal regulations, this ceiling fan contains a wattage saver that limits the light output to 190 Watts.
