  • Page 3 INTRODUCTION Thank you for your purchase of the ISP Technologies High Definition Distributed System CS650 Surface Mount Speaker. This product provides a new level of performance in distributed audio systems allowing greater system flexibility and easy installation of distributed sound.

    If connecting to a RM20 or RM20I remove this jumper and connect the desired remote level control. The HDDS CS650 includes a front mounted blue power indicator LED, which illuminates when the amplifier module power is on.
  • Page 5 RM10, RM20 or the RM20I. The CS650 also includes a power jack that allows connection to an external 18VAC power adaptor available from ISP Technologies if an external adaptor is required. Connect the input to the output connector on a HDDS Master Control Module.
  • Page 6 Connect the CS650 to any of the A,B or C outputs on the rear of the HDDS Master Control Module as shown below. Internal Loudness Circuit The CS650 includes an on board switchable Loudness Circuit with the switch located on the right hand side of the Printed Circuit Board as shown in the picture above.

    If a separate Remote Level control is required connect the LVL (REMOTE LEVEL PORT) to one of the ISP Technologies Remote Level Controls RM10, RM20 or RM20I. Note: The CS650 ships with an RJ45 Jumper plug inserted in the Remote Level Port, This jumper is required for audio to pass if no remote level control is used.
  • Page 8 speaker CS650. Each of the three outputs A, B and C are capable of delivering up to 7 amps of output current. With a typical power per speaker of 10 watts each speaker will consume on the order of 400mA, which means that 12 speakers would require 4,800mA of current.
  • Page 9 Speaker Installation The CS650 is designed to be used with the supplied tile bridge and backcan. CAUTION: Be certain that there are no electrical wires, water pipes or heating ducts in the planned installation area before you start drilling or cutting into the ceiling.
  • Page 10 As mentioned above, the CS650 allows the use of 3 options for remote level control. If a single CS650 speaker is to be controlled use ISP Technologies RM10 remote level control. The RM10 is designed to control a single Ceiling speaker and requires one Cat5 cable connection between the CS650 and the RM10.
