My fan blades will not turn on with remote, but my fan light turns on and off by the remote, as well as the fans rotation around the down light turns on and off by the remote.

If the Minka-Aire Gyro fan blades do not turn on with the remote, but the fan light and rotation function work, the issue could be a bad receiver or a loose center motor wire connection. Check the receiver connections in the fan canopy. If connections are secure, connect the gray wire from the fan to the black wire from the receiver and test. If blades spin, the receiver is faulty. If not, the center motor may be bad.

The rotation function works and I can get it to go counter clockwise, but the fan blades in each of the independent baskets will only go clockwise. How do I get the blades to switch to counter clockwise?

I have the Minka Air Gyro Rotating fan for about 4 years now. I’ve been leaving it on almost constantly lately due to the high humidity on my screened patio, hoping to keep dampness to a minimum. I just noticed that it’s making a slight catching sound. Does the fan need oil or some type of lubricant periodically? Thank you
