Using the wall-mount option

The IP Phone and IP Phone Key Expansion Module (KEM) combination
can be wall-mounted using the optional bracket kit provided. A second
KEM can be attached to the right side of the first KEM.

Adjusting the tilt base

The tilt base on the IP Phone 2002 cannot be adjusted. To match the
angle of the IP Phone and the Key Expansion Module (KEM), adjust the
tilt base on the KEM.
The IP Phone 2004 has an adjustable tilt base. Adjust the tilt of both the IP
Phone 2004 and the KEM, as needed.

Setup and assembly for the GEM

Nortel IP Phone Graphical Expansion Module (GEM) is provisioned
through both the CS2000/CS2100 and the Element Manager. The M522
line option on the CS2000/CS2100 enables provisioning of features on the
additional keys. The Element Manager data controls the GEM connection
to a terminal.
When attaching a GEM to the IP Phone 1100 Series terminal, it is
recommended that the phone is powered off prior to attaching the GEM.
When the GEM is attached and the user logs back into the CICM, the
GEM feature keys are available.
Without a GEM attached, the IP Phone 1100 Series terminals Up and
Down navigational buttons will transition feature key pages. With a GEM
attached and advanced GEM functionality turned on, the Up and Down
navigational buttons will transition pages on the GEM, and no longer
control the IP Phone 1100 feature key pages. With a GEM attached and
advanced GEM functionality turned off, the Up and Down navigational
buttons will transition pages on the GEM and the IP Phone 1100 feature
key pages.
To transition pages using the Up and Down navigational buttons on the IP
Phone 1100 Series terminal with attached GEM units, use the following
