14 Overview
IP Phone 1140E and 1150E with GEM
The IP Phone 1140E has six feature keys available on the main terminal.
Historically, access to the 14 feature keys provisioned on the M5216 line
was available by using the Up and Down navigational buttons to scroll
through three pages of features.
When GEM is attached to the 1140E and advanced GEM functionality
turned on, only one page of features is provided on the main terminal with
feature keys 1 to 6. The remaining features are not available on the main
terminal, they are moved onto the GEM. GEM functionality allows a total
of 36 buttons over two pages, of which six buttons on the second page
are not utilized.
The GEM displays the feature keys 7 to 14, as well as the M522 extension
module feature keys 1 to 22. To access all the feature keys on the GEM,
the user must use the Up and Down navigational buttons to scroll through
the pages.
The IP Phone 1150E provides one page of features due to its unique ACD
specific feature keys. When GEM is attached to the 1150E and advanced
GEM functionality turned on, the behavior is exactly the same as the IP
Phone 1140E, see
