Introduction and Intended Use

(6023) models. To find the model number of your device, look on the rating label located
on the underside of the unit.
Your blood pre s s u re monitor with ADC
and PC Link Blood Pressure Analyzer Software (6023 model only) is a fully automatic
digital blood pressure measuring device for use by adults on the upper arm at home or in
your doctor's / n u r s e 's office. It enables very fast and reliable measurement of systolic and
diastolic blood pre s s u re as well as pulse through the oscillometric method. This device
o ffers clinically proven accuracy and has been designed to be user friendly.
B e f o re using, please read this instruction manual carefully and then keep it in a safe place.
Please contact your doctor for further questions on the subject of blood pre s s u re and its
m e a s u rement.
Remember...
• Only a healthcare professional is qualified to interpret blood pressure
m e a s u rements. This device is NOT intended to replace regular medical checkups.
• It is recommended that your physician review your pro c e d u re for using this device.
• Blood pressure readings obtained by this device should be verified before
prescribing or making adjustments to any medications used to control
hypertension. Under no circumstances should YOU alter the dosages of any
drugs prescribed by your doctor.
• This monitor is intended for use by adults only. Consult with a physician
before using this instrument on a child.
• In cases of irregular heartbeat (Arrhythmia), measurements made with this
instrument should only be evaluated after consultation with your doctor.
• Familiarize yourself with the section titled "Important Information on Blood
Pressure and its Measurement". It contains important information on the
dynamics of blood pressure readings and will help you to obtain the best results.
N O T E ! This device contains sensitive electronic components. Avoid strong electrical or
electromagnetic fields in the direct vicinity of the device (e.g. mobile telephones,
microwave ovens) during use. These can lead to erratic results.
Do not attempt to service or repair this device yourself. Should a malfunction occur,
refer to page 23 of this booklet for service information.

a) No exponga este dispositivo a temperaturas

b) Los brazaletes contienen burbujas de aire muy
sensitivas. Manéjelos con cuidado para evitar todo
tipo de stress al doblarlos o abrocharlos.
c) Limpie el dispositivo con un paño limpio y seco.
No use ninguna clase de solventes ni gas.
Manchas en el brazalete pueden ser removidas muy
cuidadosamente con un paño humedo. Los
brazaletes no se pueden introducir en el
lavarropas, lavaplatos ni ser sumergidos en
agua.
d) Manipule el tubo cuidadosamente. No lo jale. No
permita que el tubo se doble y manténgalo alejado
de objetos filosos.
e) No deje caer el monitor, ni permita maltratos. Evite
vibraciones fuertes.
f) Nunca abra el monitor! Ello anularía la garantía
del fabricante.
g) Deben deshacerse de las baterías y dispositivo
conforme a las regulaciones locales.
8.1. Test de presición
Recomendamos verificar la presición de este instrumento cada dos años o luego de haber recibido
algun golpe. (ej. Caída). Por favor contacte al Servicio al Cliente al número 1-800-232-2670 para
