If one of the measurements causes an error message, it will be repeated one more time. If any additional error

occurs, the measurement will be discontinued and an error code will be displayed.

readings: This function allows you to view the three individual

m e a s u rement. After taking an averaging mode measurement hold the

M e m o ry button for 3 seconds until you hear a short beep. (Do not hold

the button longer than 7 seconds or you will delete all the readings in the

m e m o ry!) Let go of the button and watch the screen. It will automatically
l

s c roll through the three measurements used in the measurement.

5.5. Irregular Heartbeat Detector

This symbol indicates that certain pulse irregularities were
detected during the measurement. In this case, the result may deviate
f rom your normal basal blood pre s s u re – repeat the measurement. In
most cases, this is no cause for concern. However, if the symbol
appears on a regular basis (e.g. several times a week with
m e a s u rements taken daily), we advise you to tell your doctor. Please
show your doctor the following explanation:
I n f o rmation for the doctor on frequent appearance of the Irregular Heartbeat Symbol
This instrument is an oscillometric blood pre s s u re monitor device that also analyzes pulse
f requency during measurement. The instrument is clinically tested.
If pulse irregularities occur during measurement, the irregular heartbeat symbol is displayed
after the measurement. If the symbol appears more frequently (e.g. several times per week on
m e a s u rements perf o rmed daily) or if it suddenly appears more often than usual, we
recommend the patient to seek medical advice.
The instrument does not replace a cardiac examination, but serves to detect pulse
i rregularities at an early stage.

5.3 Colocación del brazalete
a ) El brazalete esta pre - f o rmado para facilitar su uso.
A s e g ú rese de no tener ropa ajustada o en el brazo.
b ) Colóquese el brazalete alrededor del brazo izquierd o .
La manguera debe estar ubicada en la parte interior
del brazo extendido. Asegúrese de que el brazalete de
e n c u e n t re de 1 a 2 cm (1/2" a 3/4") por encima del
c o d o .
I M P O RTA N T E : La línea roja en la orilla del brazalete (Marc a
A rterial) debe quedar posicionada encima de la arteria que corre por
la interior del brazo.
c ) Para asegurar el brazalete, presione el velcro .
d ) Debe quedar un poco de espacio entre el brazo y brazalete.
Debería caber 2 dedos entre el mismo y el brazo. La ropa no
debe restringir el brazo. El brazalete que no quede
p e rfectamente resultará en una lectura falsa. Mídase la
c i rc u n f e rencia del brazo si no está seguro de que le va
p e rfectamente. Brazaletes más grandes se encuentran a su
disposición. (Seccion 3B).
e ) Descance el brazo sobre la mesa (la palma de la mano hacia
a rriba) para que el brazalete esté a la misma altura que el
Corazón. Asegúrece que el tubo no esté doblado.
f ) P e rmanezca sentado y tranquilo por un mínimo de dos
minutos antes de iniciar la medición.
