You can only flag the result as a quality control test as long as
i
you have not yet turned the meter off. Once the meter has been
switched off, you can no longer flag the result. You cannot change
results you have retrieved from memory with the M button.
As soon as the result is displayed (and you have flagged it as a quality
control test where this is necessary):
Compare the result with the concentration table printed on the peel-
off label attached to the drum container. Make sure you are compar-
ing the result with the correct concentration table for your control
solution.
Hold the meter over a waste bin with the test strip pointing down-
wards.
Press the Test button to turn the meter off.
The used test strip drops out.

Checking the Accu-Chek Compact Plus meter
Always let the meter eject the test strip as soon as you have
compared the result with the concentration table. Do not leave
the meter lying around with the test strip still in and do not pull
the test strip out of the meter. If you do, control solution taken up
by the test strip may contaminate the meter.
Wipe the tip of the dropper with a clean, dry paper towel and close
the bottle tightly.
Take care not to bend the test strip when you apply control solu-
tion or during measurement.
If you do bend the strip, it may produce an incorrect result, or you
may see the following error message:
Press the Test button to turn the meter off and allow the test strip to
drop out. Repeat the quality control check with a new test strip.
