ABOUT FM APPROVED

Versions of the IC-F70/F80 which display the "FM
APPROVED" symbol as at left on the serial number
seal, conform to intrinsically safe ratings of the
FMRC (Factory Mutual Research Corporation).

The repair and maintenance of an FM approved transceiver can only
be performed in an Factory Mutual approved repair facility. The FM
approval will be canceled if FM intrinsically safe radios are repaired
anywhere else except in an approved facility.
