OPERATION PROCEDURE

Request:
To protect the compressor at the time of starting, turn on the power supply switch 12 hours before starting run.
Moreover, keep the power switch on in the season.
Be sure to leave the power supply switch of the indoor unit at the ON position even if the unit is not used. If any one of indoor
units belonging to the same line on the system is turned off, water may leak from the indoor unit (an overflow of drain water.)

Standard of room temp. setting
Cooling .......................... 26 to 28°C
Dehumidification ............ 21 to 24°C
Heating .......................... 22 to 24°C
Air blowing ..................... Room temp. set is not necessary.
G The Operation mode, temperature setting and blow rate can be changed during the operation stop as well. When they are
operated during stop, the corresponding display area is indicated for several seconds.
G After several seconds since the remote controller is operated, the setting of air-conditioner unit changes.
G To operate the air conditioner every day with repetition of run/stop under the same conditions (operation mode, set tempera-
ture, blow rate and auto swing), step 1 ON/OFF alone is sufficient.
The condition previously set is displayed on the remote controller.
NOTE
G Avoid frequent operation of "ON" and "OFF".
G When the cooling (dehumidification) and heating operation is selected, if the other indoor units are
operating in the different mode, the selected operating mode display flickers and the unit is operated in
the air blowing mode. Coordinate the operation mode. (The cooling/heating free multi-KXR unit can be
operated in different mode in the cooling and heating operation.)
G Do not use something with a sharp tip to press the remote controller switch.
G During raising and lowering of the setting temperature by pressing the temperature setting switch, the opera-
tion of unit may stop. This is caused from the activation of temperature controller and is not a malfunction.
G During the cooling (heating) operation, the unit may be operated with the cooling (heating) mode even if
the room temperature is lower (higher) than the setting temperature. This is not abnormal.
G The air blow rate in the dehumidification operation repeats "strong-weak- stop" in proportion to the room
temperature automatically. The adjustment by the blow rate switch is impossible.
G For the cooling/heating free multi-KXR unit, when the operation mode is changed from [cooling] to [heating]
or from [heating] to [cooling] during operation, the unit is operated in weak blow mode for 3 minutes.
G For the first operation after power on, when the room temperature is 17°C and above the unit automati-
cally starts cooling operation and when the room temperature is below 17°C it starts the heating opera-
tion. Set the operation mode and room temperature as you like.
G In the case of automatic operation the [cooling] and [heating] operation are changed over automatically in propor-
tion to the difference of setting temperature and the room temperature to keep the room temperature constant.
