POWERMID PM10E
This kit allows you to control remotely any A/V distant appliance, TV, VCR, Hi-Fi, satellite and cable box,
just by using your existing remote control! The remote control signal is transmitted through walls and
ceilings, up to 30 meters away.
Conformity of use
The PowerMid must be used inside only. Avoid humidity or extreme temperatures. Disconnect the unit
during thunderstorms from mains and other connected equipment to avoid damage.
Caution: To reduce risk of electric shock, do not disassemble any part of the video sender system. No
user-serviceable parts are inside. If you spill liquid on it, disconnect the unit from the mains outlet to
prevent possible fire or shock hazard and consult authorized service personnel. Use only the supplied
power supplies.
Defective parts must be replaced by original spare parts only and repairs must be done by authorized
service personnel. No guarantee or liability will be accepted for any damage caused due to incorrect use
of the equipment supplied, other than indicated in this owner's manual.
Transmission of your original remote control signals
Point your original remote control at the PowerMid Transmitter (ST10). As soon as you press a button, the
transmitter captures the IR command, converts it into a RF message, and transmits it through the walls to
the PowerMid Receiver (RE10). This unit converts the signal into an IR message back, in order to control
the selected A/V source. For example, you can change channels on your satellite receiver while viewing it
in another room. The remote control signal is transmitted through walls and ceilings, up to 30 meters
away.
Installing the system
1. Plug the PowerMid Transmitter (ST10) into a 230V~ outlet in the room where you want to use your
remote control (up to 20 feet/6 meters away from where you normally sit). Make sure the front of the unit
(with PowerMid name) is facing you. Fully extend the antenna.
2. Plug the PowerMid Receiver (RE10) into a 230V~ outlet inthe room where your TV, VCR, Stereo, etc. is
located (up to 20 feet/6 meters from it). Point the front of the Receiver towards the TV, VCR, stereo etc.
Fully extend the antenna.
3. Point your remote control at the Transmitter. It receives thesignals and transmits them to the Receiver.
The Receiver then re-transmits these infrared signals to your TV, VCR, stereo, etc.
Expanding the system
-Add more Transmitters to use your remote controls in several rooms. -Add more Receivers to control
equipment in different rooms. -Add an Infrared Extender (sold separately) if you need to place the
PowerMid Receiver next to your equipment instead of in front of it, or if your equipment is located inside a
closed cabinet.
Trouble shooting Note: The Transmitter and Receiver will most likely be in different rooms (up to
25 meters away). Range depends on:
1. The number of floors and walls the signal has to travelthrough and material these walls and floors are
made of.
2. Other 433MHz sources (e.g. wireless head phones, wireless speakers) can effect the range . The best
range will be achieved when these sources are switched off while using the PowerMid. Cordless phones
will not affect the PowerMid.
3. Some satellite receivers require more careful positioning ofthe PowerMid system. If any difficulty is
encountered, try to move the PowerMid (Receiver) a little to various positions until it operates correctly.
