Replacing the battery

This section provides instructions how to remove a CMOS battery.
To replace the battery:
1. Open the computer cover. See "Opening the cover" on page 127.
2. Locate the battery. See "System board connectors" on page 126.
3. Remove the old battery.
4. Install a new battery.
5. Close the computer cover and connect the cables. See "System board
6. Go to "Completing the FRU replacement" on page 154.
