Setting the fan On/Auto mode

When the thermostat is used to operate a fan in an HVAC system, you can press the
button to place the fan in one of the two following modes of operation:
FAN
On mode
The fan runs all the time.
Auto mode
The fan runs only during a call for heat or cool.
