5: STARTING THE ENGINE
VENT KNOB
2. Turn the fuel cap vent knob at least
2 or 3 turns counterclockwise, to
open the fuel tank vent.
OUTLET END
3. Hold the primer bulb so that the
outlet end is higher than the inlet
end. The arrow on the primer bulb
points upward. Squeeze the primer
bulb several times until it feels
firm, indicating that fuel has
reached the carburetors. Check for
fuel leaks and repair any leaks
before starting the motor.
Do not squeeze the primer bulb when
the motor is running because this
could cause the carburetors to over-
flow.
