CHAPTER 12

Warranty

AlphaSmart, Inc. warrants the AlphaSmart 3000 keyboard and display to be
free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three years
from the date of original purchase.
During this period, if a defect should occur, AlphaSmart, Inc. will, at its
option, repair or replace the AlphaSmart 3000 at no charge to you, provided
that it is returned during the warranty period to AlphaSmart, Inc. or one of
its authorized resellers. This warranty does not apply if the AlphaSmart
3000 has been damaged by accident or abuse, modified without the written
permission of AlphaSmart, Inc., or if identifying marks (including serial
numbers) or seals been removed or defaced.
There are no other warranties, express or implied. AlphaSmart, Inc. accepts
no responsibility for consequential damages, including, but not limited to,
loss of profit or benefits.

Return Procedures

If you have a problem with your AlphaSmart 3000, first read the Trouble-
shooting and Frequently Asked Questions chapter in this manual. If this
doesn't solve your problems, then use the following steps for help.
