This section contains the technical specifications for the IBM V.90 Data/Fax
Modem.

v V.42 LAPM and MNP 2-4 error correction
v V.42 bis and MNP 5 data compression
v V.25 ter (Annex A) and EIA/TIA 602 command set
v Data Length: 10 bits, including start, stop, parity
v Modulation Format
– V.34 TCM at 2400/2800/3000/3429 baud
– V.32bis, 128 points TCM at 2400 baud
– V.22bis, 16 points QAM at 600 baud
– V.22 and 212A, 4 points PSK at 600 baud
– V.23, V.21 and 103, binary phase coherent FSK

– 1 Start bit, 8 data bit, none parity, 1 stop bit.
v DTE to Modem Data Rate: Up to 300, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 14400, 19200,
28800, 38400, 57600, 115200 bps.
v Normal Mode Line Data Rate: 300, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 14400, 16800,
19200, 21600, 24000, 26400, 28800, 33600 ... 56000 and 1200/75 bps.
