    Chapter 1 — About the Computer • Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor The CV41 Vehicle Mount Computer has an IEEE 802.11a/b/g radio installed and Wi-Fi® certified for interoperability with other 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN devices. Power Supply Options To use the CV41, you must apply power to it. By default, the CV41 comes with a DC power cable that connects directly to a forklift battery running 10-60 VDC power.

    LEAP • This section explains how to configure wireless security on your computer. Intermec recommends that you implement WPA2 security using PSK (Personal) or 802.1X (Enterprise) key management as appropriate. You must use either Funk or Microsoft security to implement your security solution.

    Use WWAN and GPS Communications Some configurations of the CV41 come equipped with a WWAN radio. With WWAN enabled, you can use UMTS or CDMA communications to transmit data through cellular wide-area networks (WANs), and use the Global Positioning System Receiver (GPS).

    Chapter 6 — Use WWAN and GPS Communications About WWAN Communications The CV41 Vehicle Mount Computer has an optional WWAN radio that supports both CDMA and UMTS cellular technology. Use either one of these technologies to transmit data through cellular wide-area networks.
