TAPE NAVIGATION

Tape navigation and directory screen

Whenever this VCR records a program, specific information is automatically stored in the VCR memory. This
information can be displayed on the TV screen in a directory, and used to locate a recorded program you want
to watch, or the beginning of a non-recorded section of the tape.
• Tape Navigation will not work unless the tape was recorded by this VCR.
• The Tape Navigation data will be remembered even during a power loss. The data will not be lost unless there
is a memory defect.
• This VCR can store about 80 programs (including non-recorded segments) in memory.
2 Insert a tape recorded by this VCR.
The power comes on automatically, the tape indicator lights on the display, and the "MENU" button on the VCR
flashes. (It flashes to show that tape navigation is operational.)
Then the MENU button lights.
• It may take approx. 10 seconds until the MENU button lights.
3 Press the MENU button on the VCR or the remote control. The directory screen will appear.
