5 Press the (2) button to answer "DSS" to the question "WHICH SYSTEM DO YOU USE?"
• Press the (3) button for normal TV viewing. Also press (3) to release the CABLE BOX or DSS BOX setting
after you have set it up.
6 Turn on your DSS box and select channel 100.
• The output channel of the DSS box will be set to LINE 1 (L1) automatically.
7 Press the GUIDE button to display the DSS BOX TYPE message on the TV screen. Click to see remote
control illustration.
8 Press the two number buttons that match the code number of your DSS box brand from the table
below.
For example, press (0)(1) for the Hitachi brand DSS box.
9 Press the GUIDE button to enter your DSS box brand.
The VCR will change the DSS box from channel 100 to channel 999 to confirm that the correct code was
entered.
10 DSS box channel changed to channel 999: Press the (1) button to end this setting.
Your DSS box and VCR are now set for DSS program recording.
