EASY DELAYED RECORDING WITH THE VCR PLUS+ SYSTEM
WEEKLY
Records a show at the same day and time every week.
Note: If you accidentally enter a nonexistent PlusCode number, the VCR gives you an error message that
disappears from the screen in about 10 seconds.
(5) Press the number buttons (1), (2) or (3) to select ONE TIME, DAILY or WEEKLY RECORDING.
Note: Programming does not take effect unless you select one of these options.
(6) Press the (5) button to choose recording speed SP (standard play) or EP (extended play).
The screen will display all the details of the program you chose. Check the CH number to make sure it is the eight
one. If not, you need to check your VCR Plus+ channel setup again.
(7) Review the screen to be sure everything is set as you want, then press the PROGRAM button to
complete your programming or continue with additional programs.
(8) Press the POWER button to turn off the VCR.
The delayed recording indicator will display on the VCR. This tells you that the VCR will automatically record at
the times and dates you have programmed.
When you have set up all the timed recordings you want:
• Don't forget to load a videocassette (With the safety tab still attached) to record on.
• If using a cable box the VCR can control, turn on the cable box before the time the recording is to begin. Please
refer to "Cable Box Setup", on Page 26 in the "First Time Setup" section.
Important: Your timed recording settings take effect when you turn off the power on the VCR.
Caution of VCR Plus+ Recording
After entering a PlusCode number, check the information displayed with the "PROGRAM REVIEW". If there is
(are) any unnecessary program(s), please cancel or correct it (them). Please refer to Page 52, "Reviewing what
you have programmed".
• Using the VCR Plus+ system to record a program (by using VCR's
display)
You can use the VCR Plus+ system to program the timer, observing the VCR's display, without turning on the
power to the VCR and TV.
Notes:
• If you use the VCR Plus+ system to program the timer while observing the VCR's display, you can only program
a one-time recording.
• To stop programming, press the POWER button to turn the VCR power on.
(1) Insert a blank or erasable tape.
The power comes on automatically and the tape, indicator lights on the display.
• When a cassette without its safety tab is inserted playback, starts automatically and VCR Plus+ recording won't
operate.
(2) Press the POWER button to turn off the VCR.
(3) The clock display switches to the indication shown on the right.
If eight programs have already been stored in memory, "FULL" will appear in the VCR's display.
(4) Press the number buttons to enter the PlusCode number of the program you want to record.
