Configure Wireless Intrusion Detection and Prevention Mail
Settings
For the IDS/IPS to send a notification according to the policy rule, you need to configure the email
settings.
To configure IDS/IPS email settings:

Select Configuration > IDS/IPS Mail Settings. The IDS/IPS Mail Settings screen
displays:

Description
A descriptive name of the sender for email identification purposes. For
example, enter WNAP620-IDS-IPS@company.com.
The IP address or Internet name of the outgoing email SMTP server of your
ISP.
The port number of the outgoing email SMTP server of your ISP. The default
port number is 25.
If the SMTP server requires authentication, select the This server requires
authentication check box, and enter the user name and password.
User Name
The user name for SMTP server authentication.
Password
The password for SMTP server authentication.
