The DCR-2500 receiver can be used with any of the Dakota Alert 2500 series transmitters. The DCR-2500 plugs in to a standard wall outlet and can be placed on a table or mounted on the wall. When the receiver gets a signal from the transmitter one of 4 different tones (Classical, Westmin- ster Chime, Ding Dong, Whistle) will sound for a few seconds.

Figure 1 For maximum range between the transmitter and receiver, the receiver should be mounted hori- zontally on a wall and as high off the floor as possible. Although the maximum range is about ½ mile, things such as hills, trees, metal siding and stucco can all reduce the range. DCR2500 Manual.indd 3 4/6/2010 8:23:35 AM...

4. To cancel the reminder beep press the “A” button for 0.5 seconds. 5. You can also use jumper “J2” (Figure 1-5) in the receiver to select which zones will have the reminder beep. If the jumper covers both pins for a zone, that zone will have the reminder beep. If the jumper is on only one pin, the zone will not have the reminder beep.
