Head Unit Operations

The operations of the main unit can be performed from the head unit
even when CDA-9815/CDA-9811/IVA-D900 are combined.
Refer to the following table for the functions that can be operated.

Setting MX mode

Listening to the HDD track

An HDD track in the main unit can be played from the head unit
when CDA-9815/CDA-9813/CDA-9811 are combined.
When IVA-D900 is combined, switching to the HDD mode can be
done from the head unit.
(When CDA-9815/CDA-9813/CDA-9811 are combined)

Press SOURCE/POWER in the head unit to select
the HDD (MM DRIVER) mode.

Press SOURCE/POWER in the head unit.

Turn the Rotary encoder in the head unit to
select the MM DRIVER mode and then press the
Rotary encoder.

Switching Display Mode

When CDA-9813/CDA-9811 are combined, you can switch the
display of the head unit during the track playback of the main unit
HDD.

Press TITLE/
on the head unit.
The display mode is switched.

Setting MX Mode
When CDA-9815/CDA-9813/CDA-9811/IVA-D900 are combined,
MX setting (as below) of the main unit HDD (MP3/WMA) can be
done. For details of setting, refer to the head unit operating
instruction.
• MX setting items
MP3/WMA (MMD for IVA-D900): MX level 1 to 3, OFF
Lost data at the time of compression is recovered and the
balanced sound almost the same as the original is played.
