Brake Levers and Throttle
• Rearbrake (4):Whenstoppingthevehicle,squeezetherear brake
smoothly and firmly. Alwaysengagethe rearbrakefirst.
• Frontbrake(5): Squeezethe levergentlyat first to avoidlockingthe
front wheel.Mostof you stoppingpowercomesfrom the front wheel,
whichshouldalwaysbe usedto supplement t he rearwheel.
WARNING!USEEXTREMECAUTIONWHENENGAGING THE FRONT
BRAKETOAVOIDLOCKINGTHE FRONTWHEEL.LOCKINGTHE FRONT
WHEELCANCAUSEA SERIOUSACCIDENT.
• Throttlegrip (6):The rotarythrottlegrip is on the right handlebar.
Accelerateby rotatingthe throttletowardsyou.Decelerateby rotatingthethrottle
awayfrom you. The throttleincludesa safety springthatsnapsthe throttlebackto
idlewhen released.

Alwaysleavethe ignitionswitchin the lockpositionwhen parkingthe vehicleto
helppreventtheft.Parkon smoothhardsurfaces,beingsure to usethe center
standwheneverpossible.
