ANSWERING MACHINE

The answering system can record and store up to 99 messages. Each message
can be up to 3 minutes in length depending on the message length set (see
Message recording time on page 57). The total storage capacity for the outgoing
message, messages and memos is approximately 30 minutes. The actual
recording time depends on individual message characteristics. Messages remain
available for replay until you delete them.

ANNOUNCEMENT

The telephone is preset with a greeting that answers calls with, "Hello. Please
leave a message after the tone." You can use this preset announcement, or
replace it with your own.

RECORD YOUR OWN ANNOUNCEMENT

You can record an announcement up to 90 seconds, but any announcement
shorter than two seconds will not be recorded.
To record an announcement with a cordless handset:
1.
Press
when idle.

or to scroll to Answering sys, then press
again to select Announcement.

again to select Record annc. The system announces, "Record after
the tone. Press 5 when you are done." After the tone, speak towards the
microphone.

Press 5 when done.
To record an announcement with the telephone base:
when idle, then press SELECT to select Answering system.

Press SELECT again to select Record new annc. The system announces,

towards the microphone.

Press SAVE when done.

ANSWER ON/OFF

The answering system must be turned on to answer and record messages.
When the answering system is turned on, the ANS
turns on and ANS ON displays on the cordless handset.
