What Is the Media Heating System?

This machine is equipped with a media heating system that warms the media. You use this mainly to improve ink
adhesion and dry the ink. You can adjust the temperature settings to match the type of media and the printing speed.
Preheater
This device warms the media before
printing.
Print heater
This device is used mainly to improve
ink adhesion.
Dryer
You use this to warm the media after
printing and speed up ink-drying.

Making the Temperature Setting for the Media Heating System

By default, simply switching on the power does not make the machine warm up to the preset temperature. Pressing
to make the light come on makes the system warm up to the preset temperature.

Caution: high temperatures
The platen and dryer become hot. Exercise caution to avoid fire or burns.
Remove any loaded media or switch off the sub power when printing is not being
performed.
The continued application of heat at a single location may cause fire or produce toxic
gases.
Never use media that cannot withstand the heat.
Doing so may result in fire or the release of toxic gases, or may degrade the media.
Never use the platen or dryer for any purpose for which they are not intended,
such as to dry clothing.
Doing so may cause overheating, resulting in fire or accident.
