    VOX Button: Press this button to activate the Voice-Operated Trans- mission function. Fixed Antenna Microphone/Charger Jack: For use with an optional external microphone button and optional battery charger. Speaker Jack: For use with an optional Audiovox approved optional speaker accessory.

    This feature can be used to signal other parties that voice communication is desired. Your FR-541 has a unique circuit designed to dramatically extend the life of its batteries. After 5 seconds of inactivity, the FR-541 will switch to battery saver Low Battery Alert mode.
