Slots and openngs n the back or bottom of ths product are provded for ventlaton. To protect them from overheatng, these openngs must not be blocked by placng the product on a soft surface such as a bed, sofa or rug.

    Getting started Baby unit installation The baby unt s powered by mans power. To connect the baby unt to the mans power: Choose ether power adapter that comes wth the package. Insert the DC plug of the power adapter nto the DC socket on the sde of the baby unt.

    Getting started Parent unit installation The package comes wth two rechargeable batteres. You can power up the parent unt by usng two rechargeable batteres or by connectng t to the mans power. However, even f the parent unt s connected to the mans power, we recommend you to also nstall the rechargeble batteres.

    Getting started Parent unit overview Parent unit lights 3 green lghts and 2 red lghts ndcatng the sound level detected by the baby unt. Green lghts ndcate a moderate level of sound s detected. Red lghts ndcate a hgher level of sound s detected. More lghts turn on when the sound level detected ncreases.

    Getting started Positioning and operating range Position the audio monitor Place the parent unt wthn the operatng range of the baby unt. We recommend the parent unt s at least 1.5 metres away from the baby unt to avod audo feedback. If you stll experence audo feedback, move the parent unt and the baby unt farther apart.

    Parent unit settings Using the menu To enter the parent unit menu: MENU Press when the parent unt s not n use. to scroll to the desred feature. Press MENU Press to enter that feature menu. to scroll to the desred opton. Press MENU Press to confirm your selection.

    Parent unit settings Language You can select a language (Englsh, German, French, Italan, Spansh or Portuguese) to be used n all screen dsplays. The screen dsplay language s preset to English. To change the language: Press MENU when the parent unt s not n use. Press to scroll to LANGUAGE, then press MENU.

    Parent unit settings Nightlight When ths feature s turned on, the nghtlght on the baby unt gves a soft glow for comfort and allows easy locaton n the dark. To set the nightlight: MENU Press when the parent unt s not n use. Press to scroll to NIGHTLIGHT, then press MENU.

    Baby unit operation Power the baby unit on or off • Press and hold for 2 seconds to turn on the baby unt. The Power indicator light flashes once and turns on. • Press and hold for 2 seconds to turn off the baby unt. The Power ndcator lght turns off.

    Baby unit operation Play lullaby There are 5 lullabes to choose from. The selected lullaby plays repeatedly. To play lullabies: Press to play lullabes. To stop playing lullabies: Press agan to stop playng lullabes. To skip to the next lullaby: Press to skp to the next lullaby.

    Parent unit operation Talk to the baby unit You can broadcast messages from the parent unt to the baby unt. To talk to the baby unit: Press and hold TALK on the sde of the parent unt. Speak towards the mcrophone on the parent unt. The screen dsplays TALK.

    Appendix Troubleshooting If you have difficulty with your audio monitor, please try the suggestons below. My audio monitor does not work at all. • Make sure the baby unt, parent unt and the batteres are nstalled and charged correctly. For optmum daly performance, charge the parent unt when t s not n use.

    Appendix Troubleshooting The parent unit plays any sounds from the baby unit and I think it is too noisy. • You may need to adjust the speaker volume on the parent unit. The parent unit does not play any sound when there is noise from the baby unit.
