2.6.4. Restore to Factory Defaults

1.
Go to Tools > Backup
2.
In Restore unit's configuration browse and locate the desired backup file
3.
Click Upload configuration and then choose to activate that configuration
This feature could, for example, be used to recall the "last known good" configuration when
experimenting with different configuration setups.
2.6.4. Restore to Factory Defaults
A restore to factory defaults can be applied so that it is possible to return to the original hardware
state that existed when the D-Link Firewall was shipped by D-Link. When a restore is applied all
data such as the IDP and Ant-Virus databases are lost and must be reloaded.

Note: Dynamic data will be lost
Backups include only static information in the NetDefendOS configuration. Dynamic
information such as the DHCP server lease database or Anti-Virus/IDP databases will
not be backed up.
Important: Any upgrades will be lost after a factory reset
It should be understood that a reset to factory defaults is exactly that. Any
NetDefendOS upgrades performed since the unit left the factory will be lost.
Warning
DO NOT ABORT THE RESET TO FACTORY DEFAULTS PROCESS. If aborted
the D-Link Firewall can cease to function properly.
