LAN1/2/3/4 (Ethernet Ports)

Four Gigabit Ethernet ports (designated
LAN1/LAN2/LAN3/LAN4) are located
beside the VGA ports. Additionally, for the
H8DGU-LN4F+ serverboard, there is a
dedicated LAN for IPMI on top of the two
rear USB ports. These Ethernet ports accept
RJ45 type cables.
Unit Identifi er Button
There is a Unit Identifi er (UID) button on the
rear I/O of the board. There is also another
UID button located on the control panel.
When you push either UID button, both
Rear UID and Front Panel UID Indicators will
illuminate. Push either button again to turn off
both indicators. These UID indicators provide
easy identifi cation of a system unit that may
be in need of service.

Trusted Platform Module Header

The JTPM1 header is used to connect a
Trusted Platform Module (TPM), available
separately from a third-party vendor. A TPM
is a security device that allows encryption
and authentication of hard drives, disallowing
access if the TPM associated with it is not
installed in the system. See the table on the
right for pin defi nitions.

Overheat LED

Connect an LED to the JOH1 header to
provide warning of chassis overheating. See
the table on the right for pin defi nitions.
