Spring preload:
Minimum (soft):
Distance A = 1.67 in (42.5 mm)

Maximum (hard):
Distance A = 2.02 in (51.5 mm)
3. Tighten the locknut to the speci-
fied torque.
Tightening torque:
Locknut:
25 ft·lb (3.5 m·kgf, 35 Nm)
CAUTION:

Always tighten the locknut against
the adjusting nut, and then tighten
the locknut to the specified torque.

gas pressure.

will result in poor damping per-
formance.
●
Always have a Yamaha dealer
service the shock absorber.
