6. Insert the oil level gauge/dipstick into the oil filler
hole, and then tighten it securely.
7. Connect the oil level gauge coupler.

Coolant

Check the coolant level in the coolant reservoir when the
engine is cold. If the coolant level is below the "LOW"
mark, remove the coolant reservoir cap and add soft
water until it reaches the "FULL" mark. (See pages 8-12–
8-13 for more details.)

Hard water or salt water is harmful to the engine
parts. You may use boiled or distilled water, if soft
water is not available.

Tap water can be used temporarily in an emer-
gency.
