Selecting the Sound mode

This unit can receive bilingual broadcasts.
You can switch between modes by pressing [AUDIO] on
the remote control. Each mode is indicated on the TV
screen as follows.
• During reception of bilingual broadcasts
Mode
Audio output
Main audio from both

Sub audio from both

• Main audio from the
left speaker
Main / Sub
• Sub audio from the
right speaker

Recording Audio Select (XP)

You can enjoy high quality sound recording. This
function works only when the recording mode is set to
XP.
1) Press [SETUP].
2) Select "Recording" using [K / L], then press
[ENTER].

3) Select "Recording Audio Select (XP)" using
[K / L], then press [ENTER].

Option window will appear.

4) Select "PCM" or "Dolby Digital" using [K / L],
then press [ENTER].
Sub
"Dolby Digital" is selected as a default.
Main / Sub
PCM:
Records PCM audio for the best quality sound.
Dolby Digital:
Records Dolby Digital audio for good quality sound.
5) Press [SETUP] to exit.
Notes
• "PCM" stands for Pulse Code Modulation. It changes
analogue sound to digital sound without compressing
audio data.
• When the recording mode is set to other than XP, the unit
records "Dolby Digital" audio automatically even if you
selected "PCM".
