    If you lose the fuse cover the plug must not be used until a replacement cover is obtained. A replacement fuse cover can be purchased from your local Panasonic Dealer. IF THE FITTED MOULDED PLUG IS UNSUITABLE FOR THE SOCKET OUTLET IN YOUR HOME THEN THE FUSE SHOULD BE REMOVED AND THE PLUG CUT OFF AND DISPOSED OF SAFELY.

    E) HOW TO USE THE ACCESSORIES Connect any of the accessories, as indicated. Lift out accessories needed. To prevent damage to carpeted floors when using tools Carpeted/Bare floor selector should be placed in BARE FLOOR (Tools). CAUTION:While using the accessories, hold the handle with one hand to avoid pulling the vacuum cleaner over.

Failure to do so could result in elec- trical shock or personal injury from vacuum cleaner suddenly starting.

    C) DUST BIN CLEANING Always empty the dust bin when dirt level reaches the “MAX FILL” line. CAUTION: Electrical Shock And Personal Injury Hazard Always disconnect the vacuum cleaner from mains outlet before carrying out any service or maintenance on the vacuum cleaner.

    D) DUST BIN FILTER CHANGING AND CLEANING Check primary filter frequently and clean when dirty. Remove the dust bin assembly as outlined in the DUST BIN CLEANING section and empty contents of dust bin. CAUTION: Make sure dust bin is empty before fil- Primary Filter ter is removed.

    E) CLEANING SECONDARY FILTER SCREEN The secondary filter screen protects the motor. Always check filter screen when cleaning dust bin. If dirty or clogged, remove debris from filter screen. Secondary Filter Screen F) EXHAUST FILTER MAINTENANCE The exhaust filter removes dirt from recirculated air. Check filter after emptying dust bin.

    G) BELT CHANGING AND CLEANING WARNING: Electrical Shock And Personal Injury Hazard Disconnect from electrical supply before servicing or cleaning the vacuum cleaner. Failure to do so could result in electrical shock or personal injury from vacuum cleaner suddenly starting. Frequently check and remove hair, string and lint build-up in the brush area.

    H) BLOCKAGES The hose located on the vacuum cleaner carries the dirt from the nozzle up to the dust bin. If the hose should become clogged: Suction Inlet Unplug the vacuum cleaner from mains outlet. Hose Inlet Remove hose coupling and check hose coupling and hose inlet for clogs according to the following procedure.

    IMPORTANT: The thermal cut-out will not reset if the vacuum cleaner is not disconnected from the mains socket. MAINS LEAD IMPORTANT: If the mains lead becomes damaged, it must be repaired by Panasonic, authorised service centre or a qualified person in order to avoid any hazard.
