The Initial Setup menu
The manual tuning function allows you to manually tune
to stations, should you need to.

From the manual channel setting screen:
• Use the CHANNEL +/– button to change channels.
• If you want to skip the displayed channel (because
there is no station assigned to that channel), change
the Skip setting to On.
• If you want to manually tune the displayed channel,
change the AFT (Auto Fine Tuning) setting to Off,
then move down to Level to manually tune to a
station.
• To return to the Initial Setup menu, press ENTER.

VCR Plus+ CH Setting

• Default setting: n/a
Guide channels are used by the VCR Plus+ system so
that the channel number specified in the VCR Plus+
programming numbers can be guaranteed to
correspond to the correct station.

(cursor up/down) buttons to change
the guide channel for setting.
• Use the
(cursor left/right) buttons to change
the channel number.
• Use the PREV / NEXT button to display the previous/
next 10 guide channels.

On the default setting, the recorder automatically detects
whether the video signal from the built-in tuner or from
one of the external inputs is PAL–N, 3.58 NTSC or PAL–
M. You may, however, occasionally need to set it
manually if the picture is not displayed properly.

SELECT button to switch between the built-in tuner
and the external inputs.
