Problem
I have changed the cordless
handset display language to a
language I cannot read.
w is flashing.
The cordless handset does
not ring.
The batteries should be
charging but the battery icon
does not change.
A busy tone is heard when
{C} is pressed.
Static, sound cuts in/out,
fades. Interference from other
electrical units.
Noise is heard during a call.
The cordless handset stops
working while being used.
I assigned a phonebook item
to a desired category, but
category ringtones will not
sound.
I cannot redial by pressing
B.
Mute does not turn off after
the line is connected.
3 flashes or the cordless
handset beeps intermittently
while it is in use.
I fully charged the batteries,
but 3 still flashes.
I cannot make calls with the
cordless handset.
Cause & Solution
L Change the cordless handset display language (page 58).
L The cordless handset is not registered to the base unit. Register it (page
59).
L The cordless handset is too far from the base unit. Move closer.
L The mains lead is not connected. Check the connections.
L The night mode feature is turned ON. Turn it OFF (page 24).
L The ringer volume is turned OFF. Adjust it (page 19).
L Clean the charge contacts and charge again (page 18).
L The cordless handset is too far from the base unit. Move closer and try
again.
L The base unit or another cordless handset is on an outside call. Wait for the
other user to complete the call.
L Place the cordless handset and the base unit away from other electrical
appliances.
L Move closer to the base unit.
L You are using the handset or base unit in an area with high electrical
interference. Place the handset and base unit away from interference
sources, such as antennas and mobile phones.
L Disconnect the mains lead and turn OFF the cordless handset to reset the
unit. Connect the mains lead, turn ON the cordless handset and try again.
L You must subscribe to Caller ID service.
L Set to TEL mode, TAM/FAX mode or FAX ONLY mode to use SMS features.
L If the redialled number was more than 24 digits long, the number will not be
redialled. Redial the number manually.
L Press {C/T}.
L Fully charge the batteries (page 18).
L Clean the charge contacts and charge again (page 18).
L It is time to replace the batteries (page 16).
L You dialled a call restricted number. Remove the number from the call
restricted list (page 58).
L The key lock feature is turned ON. Turn it OFF (page 22).
