Using the Wired Remote
Control
The wired remote control can be operated regardless of
the hold mode of the unit.
L Operation confirmation tones
This tone sounds when a button on the wired remote control
is pressed. Refer to the parentheses in the illustration for
the different types of confirmation tones.
However, when no disc is loaded in the unit, the tone
pattern will sound differently.

Basic operation

Preparation:
Release the wired remote control from the hold mode.
To start play
Press [:/L] once during off or stop mode.
To stop play
Press [:/L] once during play.
To turn off the unit
Press and hold [:/L] during play or stop mode.
Skipping tracks
Press [g] or [f] during play.
f : Forward
g : Backward
Searching through tracks
Skipping album
Press and hold [g] or [f] during play.
f : Forward
g : Backward
To adjust the volume
The volume range is 0 – 25. A tone (beep-beep) sounds
when you reach the minimum or maximum volume (except
when you press and hold to change volume successively).
The volume level is memorised even if the unit is
disconnected from power source.
To change sound quality
Press [EQ] once during play or stop mode.

To select repeat/random function
Press [PLAY MODE] once during play or stop mode.
For details, see page 24 and 46.
To use the display light
Press [•LIGHT/–DISP] once during play or stop mode. The
display lights for about five seconds whenever the wired
(Beep)
remote control is operated. This makes operation in the
dark easier. The light does not come on when switching
the hold function off.
To select album mode (MP3 only)
Press and hold [PLAY MODE] during play or stop mode.
