Maintenance

General Maintenance and Care Indications
With your purchase of the KETTLER aluminium bike you have bought a high-quality product. In order to keep it in top conditi
on you must carefully maintain and take care of it.
KETTLER aluminium bikes do not require much maintenance and are easy to care for, however they are not maintenance-
free. All aluminium parts are rust-free. Very dirty areas are to be cleaned with lukewarm water and a sponge or cloth. The use
of a high-pressure cleaner should always be avoided in order to rule out any resulting damage to bearings (e.g. due to dirty
particles being washed in).
All screw, chrome and aluminium parts and clamping joints on the stem and seat post as well as the surfaces of the Allen
and Phillips screws are surface-protected. Even in surface-protected parts (due to chromium plating, galvanising, bronzing
etc.) so-called surface rust can appear which can, however, be removed with the appropriate care substances. In areas with
salty air or if cycling a lot we recommend protecting all screw joints with e.g. spray oil / wax accordingly.
In pedal, steering and hub bearings a certain bearing clearance can occur after a certain amount of time. Your repair works
hop should carry out the readjustment since in order to do so special tools and the corresponding expertise is required.
In the event of detecting deformations in your bike due to external circumstances the damaged parts have to be replaced in
order to restore your bike's road safety. Your specialist dealer can change the parts and replace them with new KETTLER ori
ginal replacement parts. With defects which are connected to lighting you should only use parts with the official mark of con
formity (~~K...).
