Chapter 3: Display Console Thumb Switch controls: These bikes (models ES700, ES900) feature convenient thumb switch controls, that allow the user to enter a QUICK START or HEART RATE CRUISE CONTROL workout or adjust the workload during a workout without removing your hands from the contact heart rate pads.
CHR pads connect to a special computer circuit to measure your heart rate. TRUE’s heart rate control (HRC) workouts let the elliptical monitor your relative exercise intensity by way of your heart rate, then automatically adjust the workload to keep you at your target heart rate and thus your desired exercise intensity.

Chapter 4: Programming & Operation A Note On Heart Rate Monitoring: The chest strap produces an FM signal that the bike reads in order to registers your heart rate. The accuracy of a reading may be affected when outside interference is present. Contact Heart Rate (chr): The CHR system lets you monitor your heart rate without wearing a strap.
